From the Roof of the World to Foot of the Scarp

A MONTH after landing home from China, from the Tibetan Plateau and Sichuan, I find myself in Wollongong (Dharawal Country) mid August, on the coast just down the scarp from my home—part of a Red Room gig at the South Coast Writers Festival. David and Tamryn at Red Room do such incredible work, and this year they’re putting together an anthology of poems commissioned by Red Room over its twenty years, and all of us, a divers mob, performing in Wollongong, are in that book. The gig is the Wollongong Poetry Month Showcase, and we’re on on the evening of Saturday 19 August. Get your tickets and come on down. Here we all are, a pageant of poets:
