Fire Diary has broken out.
My first book of poems, this small square incendiary device, is in the world. It’s been coming all my life, I guess, and coming fast these past two months. Now it’s here.
Look out for it in the bookshops (you know, all those bookshops that stock poetry), from 1 October 2010. Or contact my publisher, Puncher & Wattmann (http://www.puncherandwattmann.com).
If you like, you can order a copy at ($25, including postage and handling).
Judy Beveridge will launch Fire Diary in mid-November in Sydney (I’ll post another note, when I know the date and place). I’ve lined up a gig at the Avid Reader in West End (Brisbane) on 29 November (watch for a separate posting on that).
Meantime, I soft launch my book at the Tasmanian Poetry Festival (2 to 4 October in Launceston), and again at the Ubud Readers’ and Writers’ Festival, on 7 October.
And then on 29 October, Robert Gray and I will be reading and talking poetry, accompanied by great wine and food, at the Blue Metal Vineyard near Berrima (see separate note).
Here’s what Fire Diary looks like.
