The Sydney Writers’ Festival 2010 is almost on us. I’m doing a couple of small gigs. One is a conversation I’m chairing and participating in on poetry, the last genre standing, with Jennifer Maiden and Robert Gray. That one is on at 4 pm on Friday 21 May. The other is a conversation on memoirs with Brenda Walker. Brenda’s new book is a refined memoir on reading (Reading by Moonlight) and how it helped save her life; I’ll be talking about my landscape memoir, The Blue Plateau, and, I guess, how landscape can save your life, if you can survive it. Check the timetable for when that’s on—Sunday 23 sometime.
