I’m running my next poetry workshop in the cowshed on Saturday 4 and Sunday 5 November. (10 till 5 both days).
Poetry in the Cowshed is a weekend masterclass—for established as well as beginning poets. It’s a chance to think some new thoughts (and revisit some old ones) about the making, nature and uses of poetry, to draw inspiration from a close reading of some fine poems, to workshop some recent poems of your own, and to make some new ones, under Mark’s tutelage.
But the place—the shed in its post-pastoral repose, the garden it sits in, the light that comes in the windows, the paddocks down the back, the birds that keep it all real—the place does most of the work. It makes the space around us in which inspiration might arise. And this is to say nothing of the best food you’ll ever eat on a writing course.
Cost: $550, including GST (covers lunch and morning and afternoon tea both days, plus dinner on Saturday).
