From April or May 2008, I hope to run the first of a series of long workshops from my cowshed in Burradoo. I’m calling these “The Cowshed Series.” In time, I plan a poetry workshop. But I plan to start with a generic creative writing program. I want to run the workshop over six months, with meetings held here over a weekend, once a month. Between sessions, participants will work on their writing projects (and some exercises I set) and get feedback and mentoring from me by email. I’m still refining the structure and content. As soon as I do, I’ll advertise the program. I want to restrict numbers to eight; more than that won’t fit in my shed; more than that make it difficult for me and other participants to provide the attention I’m aiming for with this series.
